In addition, Meirelles held the position of President of the Central Bank of Brazil. Meirelles has been invited to join the advisory board of Binance. The company recently released a statement that appears to support the claim.

“Binance confirms Henrique Meirelles’ participation in the company’s new global advisory board and reports that it will release more details on this initiative shortly.”

In 2003, Henrique Meirelles was elected president of the Central Bank of Brazil. The economist, now 77, remained in his job until 2011. Meirelles was Brazil’s finance minister during Michel Temer’s administration. Meirelles is not only a prominent politician in Brazil but is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the investment firm J&F Investments SA.
