Blockdaemon enables Web3 developers and organizations to run their Collator nodes on the Astar Network

Los Angeles, United States, August 24, 2022, Chenwire

Astar Network, Polkadot’s innovation hub, is pleased to announce the integration of Blockdaemon, the world’s largest enterprise-class blockchain infrastructure company for node management and storage, as an aggregation unit. The partnership will enable both institutional and individual users of Blockdaemon to start their aggregation nodes with the Astar Network.

Although Astar supports users who maintain their aggregation nodes, it is still technically out of reach for the many individuals and organizations that join its network. Blockdaemon’s suite of products and tools includes the full suite of blockchain technology that enables any eligible project to access the Astar Network.

As a node infrastructure provider, Blockdaemon will provide Websocket and RPC endpoints for projects that want to build on the network. Oftentimes, it is not feasible for many projects, developers, and companies to build and maintain their own Astar node to access these services. Blockdaemon’s years of experience in node blockchains specifically for the Polkadot ecosystem significantly lower the entry barrier for Astar-based projects.

Blockdaemon’s full node support provides an important development for Astar dApp developers and organizations. Rather than relying on public infrastructure, which can be subject to heavy loads from many different sources, or facing the constant challenges of Astar node autonomy, it is now possible to outsource Astar node requirements to Blockdaemon.

We’re excited to integrate with Astar to improve accessibility for developers and organizations. Astar connects the Polkadot ecosystem to all major Layer 1 blockchains by building in the interoperability of a multi-chain future. By combining Blockdaemon’s enterprise-class infrastructure with Astar’s rich technology stack, we look to support the health of the network and provide an important platform for Astar dApp developers.said Cecilia Feng, Head of Strategic Protocol Research at Blockdaemon.

We are very excited to partner with Blockdeamon. This partnership allows us to build a more reliable and robust network and explore new use cases such as DOT Liquid Stakingsaid Sota Watanabe, founder and CEO of Astar Network. “Together with Blockdeamon and infrastructure partners, we will do our best to provide developers with the best experience. ”

Collaborators maintain parachains by collecting parachain transactions from users and producing proof of transition status for Relay Chain validators. Unlike validators, pool nodes do not secure the network. If the parachin block is invalid, it will be rejected by the validators.

More users will strengthen the Astar network and play an important role in block production, transaction collection, and state transition evidence for relay chain validators.

Blockdaemon is the largest independent blockchain infrastructure platform that connects enterprises and developers with leading networks. Founded in 2017, Blockdaemon manages more than 50,000 nodes on behalf of more than 200 institutional clients – including exchanges, custodians, liquidity providers and new banks – and supports over 55 blockchain networks such as Polkadot, Kusama, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche.

As Astar builds the future of smart contracts for multiple companies, it is keen to attract developers and institutional interests. Besides enabling new users and companies to join Astar, Blockdaemon will collaborate with the Astar Network on future hackathons and networking events. Developers who rely on Astar can deploy their dApps with EVM and WASM smart contracts while providing true interoperability and cross-messaging (XCM).

About Astar Network

The Astar Network is the future of Smart Contracts for Multichain. Astar Network supports building dApps with EVM and WASM smart contracts and provides developers with true interoperability, with consensus messaging (XCM). We are made by developers and developers. Astar’s unique Build2Earn model enables developers to get paid through a dApp staking mechanism for the code they write and the apps they build.

Astar’s vibrant ecosystem has become Polkadot’s leading Parachain globally, backed by all major exchanges and Tier 1 venture capital. Astar provides flexibility for all Ethereum and WASM tools for developers to start building their own dApps. To accelerate growth on the Polkadot and Kusama networks, Astar SpaceLabs offers an incubation center for the best TVL dApps.
